We’ve had banger after banger this year of the movies. The release of the same day premieres has been a gamechanger during this quarantine (we’re all still quarantining right?). So we have two MAJOR releases slated for this weekend. You can even catch them early if like to live dangerously on a Thursday night.
The first of them is the much anticipated sequel to the 2018 film A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place II! Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds have reprised their roles as the Abbott Family. The release date for this film was pushed numerous due to the pandemic. This was a film that they felt that they really needed to be seen in film. Here’s hoping that it won’t disappoint!

The second movie, not as anticipated but welcome nonetheless, is Cruella. We get to see the origin story of the Disney villain we have all come to know as Cruella De Vil. This movie stars Emma Stone as Estella/Cruella, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Anita Darling, and Emma Thompson as The Baroness. Though we get to see a couple of Dalmatians in the trailer, it doesn’t seem as though they are the focal point. If you don’t want to risk the sitting in a movie theater full of people, this movie will be available on Disney+ but beware it will be more expensive than a movie ticket.

I’m actually quite excited for this weekend. Which movie will you be seeing?
