So Michael ‘Lori’s Bae’ Jordan finally released the trailer for the top secret movie he was working on. Honestly, it wasn’t that top secret. I just hadn’t been following along with it. Let me tell you that as much as I want to see this on the big screen, I already know that it’s not happening. I REFUSE to sit in a dark room filled with people CRYING MY EYES OUT. I just cannot. Not even the fact that he looks like a real life action figure can tempt me into watching and crying with 50 other people in a theater. Nope. NUH-UH. It’s not gonna happen.
A Journal For Jordan was directed by Mr. Denzel Washington himself and stars Chanté Adams and Michael B. Jordan. The movie is based on a true story about 1st Sgt. Charles Monroe King, who before being killed in combat, writing a journal for his soon-to-be-born son to help him navigate life without his father.
If you decide that you want to cry before the movie is released, you can read The New York Times article “From Father to Son, Last Words to Live By” here. I guarantee you that you will be bawling by the second paragraph. Don’t say that I didn’t warn you!
A Journal For Jordan comes on in theaters (and theaters only at this point) on December 22, 2021. Watch the teaser trailer below.
